on Schneider Lane. First Arriving Chief Officers Gagliardi
and Kriklava found a two story house with a serious fire
condition in the basement and on the first floor. No one

each sent an engine to the scene to act as a R.I.T. (Rapid
Intervention Team) and or relief. Nesconset Fire Department
sent an Engine to Hauppauge Headquarters to fill our empty
station. Many thanks to these Departments on behalf of the
Hauppauge Chiefs Office. No one was injured, but the house
sustained serious structural damage, especially to the first
floor flooring structure over the basement. The cause of
this fire was investigated by the Suffolk County Arson Squad.
Their preliminary finding was the fire was accidental most
likely to have been caused by an electrical fault caused
by the exterior construction work. All units were back in
service as of 1500 hrs.
