The Hauppauge Fire Department was dispatched to an mva involving a motorcycle and possibly another motor vehicle in front of 438 Wheeler Road. First arriving Fire & Ambulance Chiefs found a Honda motorcycle burning on the ground and a Chevrolet Cobalt with the front end and one side of the vehicle on fire. These Chief officers quickly knocked down the fire utilizing portable fire extinguishers. Shortly thereafter Engines 3-8-14, 3-8-11 arrived and the crew of Engine 14 used one handline to complete extinguishments. Heavy Rescue 3-8-9 provided lighting so that Ambulance Chief 3-26-30 and the Crew of 3-26-16 could treat the two injured parties involved in this incident who were then transported to the hospital. All F.D. units which were under the command of Chief of Department Michael Gagliardi were back in service as of 2330 Hrs. |
