| On March 2nd 2008 the Hauppauge Fire Department reactivated its Fire Police Squad. Made up of senior members of the department they will assist at fire and emergency scenes by securing the emergency scene perimeter and regulating or otherwise prohibiting traffic in the emergency area in conjunction with the Suffolk County Police Department |
