Turkey Bowl 2007
  On Thursday, November 22nd 2007 thanksgiving day the Smithtown Fire Department faced off against the Hauppauge Fire Department in the annual Turkey Bowl flag football game. The Smithtown Fire Department regained their championship crown after beating Hauppauge 40-8. In the end everyone had a great time.

  On October 20th 2007 the Hauppauge Fire Department participated in the Hauppauge High School Homecoming Parade. The Department was led in the parade by Chief of Department Thomas Kriklava and 1st Assistant Chief Raymond Germaine.The Ladies Auxiliary was led by there President Karen Mooney. The band playing for the Department was John Lombardo's Blue Devils.

  On June 2nd 2007 members of the FDNY, Hauppauge, Lakeland Fire Departments and the Town of Islip and the State of New York paid tribute to the late Peter Brennan who was a Lieutenant In Engine Company #1 of the Hauppauge Fire Department, A former member of the Lakeland Fire Department and a career member of Engine 288 detailed to Rescue 4 who made the supreme sacrifice on 09/11/01 at Manhattan Box 8087. Also present were Peters family whom participated in the sign unveiling dedicating a portion of Terry Road at Wedgewood Drive in Peter Brennans Memory. There a number of special dignitaries present at this event which was presided over by Hauppauge Chief of Department Thomas Kriklava.

  On Monday May 28th 2007 at approx 1:30 pm the Hauppauge Fire Department held a ceremony in remembrance of our countries military personnel who have made the supreme sacrifice and to reflect on the prior service of departed members of the Hauppauge Fire Department. We were led in this ceremony by Hauppauge Fire Department Benevolent President Christopher Hirsch and Chief of Department Thomas Kriklava Assistant Chiefs Raymond Germaine, Kenneth Furuno. Also participating was Ex-Chiefs Edward Crean, Thomas Fallona, Ronald Barz, Michael Mooney, Past Captain Robert Munro and Department Chaplin, Monsignor Francis Midura.

  On May 8th 2006 Chief of Department Ray Woods led a contingent of firefighters from Hauppauge Fire Department and Bayshore Fire Department in attending the Dedication of Lincoln Boulevard by Hauppauge High School in the memory of Marine CPL Jared Kremm. Hauppauge & Bay Shore Ladders sent up commerative arch displaying the Colors. Numerous Public Officials Including State Senator Steve Israel & Three Islip Town Council members as well as a number of School District Officials and  a Contingent from the United States Marines were also present. In the audience were School Employees, Veterans Of Foreign Wars and members of the community. The Guest's of Honor were of course relatives of the Marine Corporal Being Honored.

  On Sunday morning April 9th 2005 a contingent of firefighters representing all companies within the Hauppauge Fire Department practiced their skills in rescue techniques and use of equipment for structural collapse at a house to be demolished. Firefighters practiced their skills in shoring,cribbing and the use of hydraulic equipment in freeing victims (dummies) from a lean too collapse and a pancake type collapse of a wooden deck. The primary instructor for this drill was Captain Kenneth Furuno of Engine Company #3. A number of the firefighters present are members of the Hauppauge Fire Department Technical Rescue team which specializes in dealing with these type's of rescue situations.

  On March 19th 2006 Engine 3 conducted a hose line and roof operations drill at a residential structure scheduled for demolition. Instructing at this Drill was Engine 3 Captain Kenneth Furuno.

On this same day at a different structure scheduled for demolition Engine 4 & Engine 1 utilized another structure for overhaul practice, forcible entry, and escape techniques. The instructors for this drill was Captain Minder of Engine 4, Lieutenant Mannino of Engine 4 and Engine 1 Lieutenant Ray Germaine.

  On March 11th 2006 a small contingent of Hauppauge Fire Department personnel attended the Saint James Saint Patricks Day Parade. The Department was led in the parade by 1st Assistant Chief Ray Woods.

  On December 10th 2005 members of the Hauppauge Fire Department were assisting Santa to visit the children of Hauppauge to find out what they wanted for the holidays and to give them candy canes. The weather was beautiful and a good time was had by all .. especially Santa. A warm thanks to the community who came out to see Santa and his elves. Happy Holidays to All!

  On November 24th 2005 members of the Hauppauge Fire Department and Smithtown Fire Department played their annual Turkey Bowl. The 2005 Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl final score Smithtown 36, Hauppauge 28.

  On November 7th 2005 members of the Hauppauge Fire Department, its equipment and equipment and men from the Smithtown Fire Department, Nesconset Fire Department, Saint James Fire Department, Lakeland Fire Department, East Northport Fire Department, Kings Park Fire Department, Commack Fire Department, Bohemia Fire Department, Greenlawn Fire Department, East Islip Fire Department & Islip Fire Department paid a final tribute to Lance Corporal Jared Kremm of the United States Marines who was killed in Action in Iraq and was a Hauppauge Resident. Our Condolences to the Kremm Family.

  On Sunday October 23rd 2005 members of Engine's 3 & 4 participated in a firefighter survival training class conducted by Past Lieutenant Joseph Beltrani of Truck Company 1, Captain James Murphy of Truck Company # 1, Capt. Ed Minder of Engine # 4, Lieutenant Raymond Germaine of Engine Company # 1, and Lieutenant Thomas Lafemina of Engine Company # 3. Approximately 18 members participated the three stations exercise which included bail out via ground ladder, bailout via rope and a totally interior exercise of wall breaching and escape maneuvers with breathing apparatus. The building a large old home was offered for our use by the developer who plans to construct a sub-division in its place. Next weekend Engine 4 & Truck Company receive the same training.

  On Sunday Oct. 16, 2005 Hauppauge Fire Department had it's annual Fire Prevention Open, an Informative Day for all ages. Live Demonstrations (Live Burns - Oven fire, Heavy Rescue, other demonstrations), Special Guests - Sponge Bob and our very own 8 foot Fire Hydrant! Special Thanks to the Hauppauge Rotary, Central Islip-Hauppauge Ambulance, Suffolk Co. Fire Marshal's Brett Martinez and Don Lynch and Brett's dog/partner "cinder", Suffolk County Police, LIPA, Congressman Steve Israel and most of all The Community.
